In March 2022 I was invited as a live studio guest to “10vor10” the evening news broadcast of SRF, the Swiss national television, to comment on cybersecurity threat scenarios in the aftermath of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In October 2023 I have organized and moderated six working sessions for the Global Future Council on Complex Risks in Dubai. The council is co-chaired by Ngaire Woods and Azeem Azhar.

The Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils was organized by the World Economic Forum, the UAE government, and the Dubai Future Foundation.

2018-2020, I have helped to organize sponsorship and coach teams for the Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge. A two-day, international crisis management competition for students organized by the Geneva Center for Security Policy and the Atlantic Council.

My teams reached the final in all three years. You can read a blog by ETH Zurich on the success of our teams in 2020 here.

In October 2022 I was invited to present our report on neutrality in cyberspace to the 23rd Bruges Colloquium on International Humanitarian Law organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

I have facilitated a variety of ideation and foresight workshops, including for foraus “Futures Champions” (2023), ETH Zurich (2022), ICRC (2022), WEF Global Shapers (2020), and UBS (2016-2017).

In 2022 I have helped to teach the module International Security Politics offered by the Lucerne University of Applied Arts and Sciences.

My colleague Stefan Soesanto and I offered lessons on cybersecurity politics and designed and evaluated a group work exam on country case studies.

Together with my co-authors Nicolas Zahn and Sara Pangrazzi, I had the pleasure to present a review of the first Swiss Digital Foreign Policy Strategy to students at the University of St Gallen followed by a discussion on the topic with Swiss Federal Chancellor Walter Thurnherr in March 2022.

In terms of event organization, I have inter alia helped to organize the European AI Governance Conference in Zurich in 2019. A two-day private conference that has helped to incubate a cohort of young European thinkers and leaders in AI policy. In 2020 I have organized a virtual one day private ETH work conference on AI and security policy with guests from government, academia, and the private sector.

In 2022 I have served as a reviewer for the accreditation for the University of Applied Sciences Bachelor’s degree program “Military Information and Communication Technology Leadership” at the Theresian Military Academy in Vienna, supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense.
